Incredible value and great service. I have a beautiful, but very old and very dirty chandelier. I contacted A better clean on Saturday and a crew was on site at my house promptly at the expected time. They took this apart, made it sparkle and put it back together. I can’t recommend them enough and look forward to using them again in the future.

FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions About Window Cleaning

Do I still need to clean my gutters if I have gutter guards?
Yes. While gutter guards help keep debris out of the inside of your gutters, it’s still important to keep the roof and the top of the guards clean. Debris can build up on top and prevent water from entering the system properly. In Utah, where we deal with both rain and snow, keeping everything clear is especially important to ensure proper drainage.
How often should gutters be cleaned?
We recommend cleaning your gutters at least twice a year-once before the spring rains and once before winter. This helps ensure your gutter system is working properly and prevents water-related damage to your home.
Are gutter guards worth it?
It depends. Every home is different. During our inspection, we look at things like surrounding trees, roof type, and overall conditions to determine whether gutter guards are the best option-or if regular maintenance might be a better long-term solution. Our goal is to give honest recommendations based on what will actually work best for your home.
What does the service include?
Our gutter cleaning service can include several components depending on your needs: gutter cleaning by hand and/or water flushing, roof cleaning if needed, roof inspection, gutter system inspection, minor repairs when possible, major repairs quoted separately, downspout cleaning and repair, and a full system water test (rain test) to ensure proper flow.
What types of gutter guards do you install?
We install high-quality gutter guard systems designed to perform well in a variety of conditions. We select the best option based on your home, roof style, and environment to ensure long-term performance.
Do you clean downspouts?
Yes, we clean and inspect downspouts to ensure proper water flow. If needed, we can also perform minor repairs to keep your drainage system working correctly.
Do gutter guards work well in snow and ice?
They can help, but in colder climates like Utah, snow and ice can still create issues. If heat cables are not installed on top of the guards and inside the system, water can freeze and lead to ice buildup or icicles. This can affect how well the system drains. Proper setup and maintenance are important, especially during winter months.
How do I know if my gutters are clogged?
Common signs include water overflowing from the gutters, water draining from incorrect areas, sagging gutters, or visible debris buildup. If you notice any of these, it’s a good indication your gutters need cleaning.
How long do gutter guards last?
Most gutter guard systems can last many years, depending on the material and quality of installation. Routine maintenance and inspections will help extend their lifespan and keep them working properly.
What happens if damage is found?
We inspect your gutters during the estimate and inform you of any visible issues. However, some damage is only discovered during cleaning. If that happens, we will discuss the findings with you and recommend the best solution.
Can gutter guards be installed on existing gutters?
Yes, in most cases they can be installed on existing gutters. We always inspect your current system first to make sure everything is in good condition before installation.
Do you remove debris from the property?
In most cases, debris can be placed in your regular trash bin. If there is a large amount of debris and removal is needed, we can haul it away for a small additional fee depending on the volume.
Do gutter guards require maintenance?
Yes, they do. While they reduce debris buildup inside the gutters, they are not maintenance-free. Regular roof cleaning and system inspections are still necessary to ensure everything continues to work properly.
Do you service multi-story homes?
Yes, we service multi-story homes and have the proper equipment and experience to safely handle higher properties.
Is it dangerous to clean gutters myself?
While it is possible to clean gutters yourself, it can be risky. Working on ladders and roofs requires proper training, equipment, and footwear to avoid accidents. That’s why many homeowners prefer to hire professionals.
Do you inspect the drainage system?
Yes, we can inspect your full drainage system to ensure everything is functioning properly and identify any potential issues.
What determines the cost?
The cost depends on several factors, including the size of the home, height of the property, condition of the gutters, amount of debris, and type of service needed. We offer Basic, Standard, and Premium service options, as well as maintenance plans to help you save money and keep your gutters working year-round.
Do gutters still need to be cleaned if they have gutter guards?
Yes, gutters with guards still need maintenance and cleaning over time. While gutter guard systems help reduce debris buildup, they are not completely maintenance-free. Small debris such as dirt and fine particles can still accumulate. Typically, it takes 2 to 5 years depending on the home for buildup to occur, which can lead to clogs. Regular inspection and occasional cleaning are still necessary.
Do you offer service for very small jobs?
Yes, we can take on small jobs. However, due to travel time, setup, and labor, we have a minimum service charge of $147. Even if the job only takes a short amount of time, it still requires scheduling, transportation, and equipment.
Do you leave debris on the ground after cleaning the gutters?
No, we never leave a mess behind. While some companies may simply use a blower and leave debris on the ground, we take a different approach. Depending on the situation, we may remove debris by hand into buckets or use a blower when appropriate. If a blower is used, we always clean up all debris afterward and ensure your property is left clean.
What are gutter guards?
Gutter guards are protective covers installed over your gutters to help keep out leaves, debris, and dirt while still allowing water to flow through properly.
Do gutter guards really work?
Yes, gutter guards can significantly reduce the amount of debris that gets into your gutters. However, they are not completely maintenance-free and still require occasional inspection and upkeep over time.
